Wel­come to any vis­it­ors with us today.  Please join us for morn­ing tea.

 

Thank you to Fr Philip Brad­ford for agree­ing to be our Locum and tak­ing our Sunday ser­vices and also our Wed­nes­day ser­vices when he’s avail­able over the com­ing weeks.  Fr Jeff and Michelle will be away on long ser­vice leave until 10th Septem­ber 2023.

 

TODAY: Par­ish Coun­cil will be held in the church after our morn­ing ser­vice and morn­ing tea.

 

TONIGHT at 6.30pm — Oxford Move­ment Even­song: Fest­iv­al Even­song, Pro­ces­sion and Bene­dic­tion at Christ Church St Laurence (812 George St, Hay­mar­ket).  This ser­vice will com­mem­or­ate Oxford Move­ment Sunday, giv­ing thanks for the litur­gic­al tra­di­tion with­in Anglic­an­ism.  The ser­vice will be fol­lowed by light refresh­ments.  No RSVP.  All welcome.

Sunday 17th Sept — 40th Anniversary of Sydney MOW: Cel­eb­rated at Christ Church St Laurence Hay­mar­ket, at the 10.30 a.m. ser­vice, where the Arch­bish­op of Perth, Kay Goldsworthy AO, will be our guest preach­er.  Fol­low­ing the ser­vice there will be a lunch­eon in the hall and a short lec­ture giv­en to hon­our the life of the late Dr Patri­cia Bren­nan, by The Ven­er­able Dr Colleen O’Rielly.

Sunday 15 Octo­ber — St Luke’s Patron­al Fest­iv­alOur Guest Speak­er is to be The Ven­er­able Dr Colleen O’Reilly, a former parish­ion­er.  Fol­low­ing the ser­vice we will hold a shared lunch, out­doors in the church car­park — weath­er permitting.

 

Sat­urday 21st Oct at 6.30pm – Warden’s Din­ner: Cel­eb­rat­ing the 30th Anniversary since our OpShop first opened on Enmore Road in 1993.  Buy your­self an OpShop out­fit.  Prices for best dressed male and female, fun­ni­est out­fit, and cheapest out­fit.  So keep your recipe to prove it!  2 course din­ner. BYOG.
