A very big thank you to Fr Philip for taking our Sunday and Wednesday services, and visiting parishioners and visiting the nursing home while Fr Jeff was away.

Bench seat in our carpark garden in memory of Fr Ron Morris. Donations are sought towards the $1500 cost of the bench seat. If you would like to donate, please pay directly to the church account as listed on the back of the pew sheet (reference Fr Ron Morris),or place your donation in an envelope in the offertory with the same reference.
7.30 pm — Tuesday Night Bible Study at Fr Philip’s home, 5 Lincoln St Stanmore. All welcome. The study is currently on the book of Hebrews. Please bring a bible.
Wednesday 24th July at 6:30pm — Festal Choral Evensong on the Eve: The Parish of St James’ King Street is celebrating its bicentenary this year and extends an invitation to everyone to join in the Patronal Festival services, beginning with a service of Festal Choral Evensong on the Eve of St James’ Day. The service will showcase the newly-built Bicentennial Pipe Organ and will feature the world-premiere of The St James’ Canticles written by Joseph Twist.
Followed by: Thursday 25th July at 6:30pm — Choral Eucharist on St James’ Day, which includes the annual tradition of a Spanish-themed supper after the service. Enquiries to office@sjks.org.au or 02 8227 1300. All welcome.

Saturday 14 September — Local Council Elections Our hall is to be a polling place. We will be having a BBQ in the carpark and are looking for helpers to come along between the hours of 9.00 am and 5 pm. Please put names on the roster on the noticeboard in the hall if you can help.
Sunday 29th Sept at 12pm — Myanmar Lunch here at St Luke’s following church, and tea/coffee, and similar to last year. This is to help raise a further contribution to the Myanmar Clean Water Project. It would be great to duplicate the support our parish gave to this ABM initiative last year. RSVP to the Parish Office by 18th Sept 2024.
