Saturday 25th March – NSW State Elections:

The Electoral Office is hiring our hall from 3 p.m. Friday 24th to midnight on Saturday 25th March.   The hall is therefore not available for use at this time.

A BBQ provided by the Chiew family & volunteers will be available on the day.

Our cake stall has also been approved by the Electoral Commission and will be held in the carpark from 9am until the cakes sell out.

Help is needed, as well as cakes, slices, or biscuits for sale.  Small cupcakes, muffins, banana, date or walnut loaves sell best.

As there will be limited room in the carpark, there will only be one table with cakes and some jams, preserves & curds made by Lea MacNeil.

Please note:  Goods can only be brought in on the day for sale as there is nowhere to store them overnight.

A cake stall roster for 2 hourly intervals will be placed in the hall on the notice board.  If you are available to help sell these goods please put your name down on one of the 2‑hours slots.  Any help at all would be much appreciated!

Sunday 26th March: Palm Cross Making after morning tea.  No experience necessary.  Instructions and assistance provided.  Everybody is invited to come join in this yearly St Luke’s community event.

Saturday 8th April – Parish Working Bee in readiness for Easter: Please come at 9.30am if you can spare an hour or two – either in the church, hall, kitchen or garden.

Casual Opshop Volunteers Required: The OpShop needs volunteers to work in the shop on a casual basis.  Casual volunteers provide relief for other volunteers who are on leave or away for some reason.  Generally, shifts worked are 2.5 hours either in the morning or afternoon – Tuesday to Saturday — in a very friendly and cooperative working environment.  Please see Andy Serafin for further information.

A parish weekend retreat is planned to be held after Easter (Weekend of 21st-23rd April), at The Old Monastery at Stroud.  Please let the Rector or Wardens know if you are interested, as we need at least 6 people to go to make it worthwhile.  There is only basic accommodation, and we take food and prepare our own meals.  Retreats like this can be a great boost for our faith and our health of body and mind.
