Positions Vacant: St Luke’s OpShop is looking for parishioners who can give a half day a month or more to helping out in the Shop. The Shop provides valuable funds for the parish while performing a Christian welfare function in our community. All training given. Speak to Andy Serafin or Peter Seymour.
Tuesday Night Bible Study with Fr Philip is cancelled for 13th August. A study on the book of Gensis will commence when Bible study resumes at Fr Philip’s house on Tuesday 20th August.
Sunday 18th August – Parish Council meets in the church after 9.30am service and morning tea.
Sunday 25th August –100th Anniversary of St Luke’s Rectory: Please join us in the rectory for a BBQ after the 9.30am service to celebrate the Rectory’s 100th Birthday. The parish is supplying sausages and bread rolls. Let’s celebrate!

Saturday 7th Sept at 11am – ABM Feast of the Commemoration of the New Guinea Martyrs Service here at St Luke’s. Eucharist celebrated by Fr Jeff Parker (Rector), will be followed by a light lunch in the Hall. Speakers: We will welcome the Bishop of the New Guinea Islands, the Rt Rev’d Reginald Makele, & Robert McLean from ABM. RSVP to Parish Office by 28th Aug 2024.
Saturday 14 September — Local Council Elections Our hall is to be a polling place. We will be having a BBQ in the carpark and are looking for helpers to come along between the hours of 9.00 am and 5 pm. If you can help — Please place your name on the roster on the hall noticeboard.
Sunday 29th Sept at 12pm — Myanmar Lunch here at St Luke’s following church, and tea/coffee, and similar to last year. This is to help raise a further contribution to the Myanmar Clean Water Project. It would be great to duplicate the support our parish gave to this ABM initiative last year. RSVP to the Parish Office by 18th Sept 2024.
