Christ­mas Cards for 2024

We encour­age parish­ion­ers to vis­it The Lep­rosy Mis­sion, ABM, or The Bush Church Aid Soci­ety web­sites to order their own cards this year.

We have 3 packs of small Christ­mas cards from 2023 for sale in the Com­munity Resource Centre.  Please see Jen­nifer after church.

 

 

7.30 pm — Tues­day Night Bible Study: At Fr Philip’s home, 5 Lin­coln Street, Stan­more.  All wel­come. The study is cur­rently on the book of Gen­es­is.  Please bring a bible.

Wed­nes­day 4th Decem­ber at 6pm – Patron­al Fest­iv­al ‑Nich­olas Ferrar: 

The Sydney Mis­sion-Col­lege of the Oratory of the Good Shep­herd invites to a sung Euchar­ist at Christ Church St Laurence fol­lowed by sup­per in the hall. All are very wel­come to attend.

Nich­olas Fer­rar and their fam­ily are remembered for their wit­ness to pray­er and ser­vice.  The Fer­rar fam­ily lived in com­munity in the early sev­en­teenth cen­tury at Little Gid­ding, a pion­eer ven­ture in dan­ger­ous times.

The Oratory of the Good Shepherd’s con­sti­tu­tion was for­mu­lated at Little Gid­ding, circa 1912.

We pray for our defence and police forces:  Etern­al God, the only source of peace, we pray for all who serve in the defence and police forces of this land.  Give them cour­age and com­fort in danger, patience in wait­ing, and dis­cip­line in the just use of force.  Help us to seek for all people the free­dom to serve you and each oth­er in com­pas­sion and peace.  We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
