Wednesday 4th December at 6pm – Patronal Festival ‑Nicholas Ferrar:
The Sydney Mission-College of the Oratory of the Good Shepherd invites to a sung Eucharist at Christ Church St Laurence followed by supper in the hall. All are very welcome to attend.
Nicholas Ferrar and their family are remembered for their witness to prayer and service. The Ferrar family lived in community in the early seventeenth century at Little Gidding, a pioneer venture in dangerous times.
The Oratory of the Good Shepherd’s constitution was formulated at Little Gidding, circa 1912.

This we pray in the name of the one who gave his life for the sake of the world: Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Amen.
We pray for our defence and police forces: Eternal God, the only source of peace, we pray for all who serve in the defence and police forces of this land. Give them courage and comfort in danger, patience in waiting, and discipline in the just use of force. Help us to seek for all people the freedom to serve you and each other in compassion and peace. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
