NOTICES:

 

Gifts for the chil­dren: At the morn­ing ser­vice, Par­ish Coun­cil is pleased to offer a small gift to each of the chil­dren of the Par­ish (12 years and under).

 

After morn­ing tea today our gifts for OPAL (Stan­more Nurs­ing home) will be delivered.

 


TONIGHT — 6pm Car­ols & Play in the car­park — FREE BBQ available!

Don’t miss the Car­ols and Play in the Car­park at 6pm this evening.

Try to be there early (5.45pm) to get dressed up and take a part in the play.

We will sing (no mask required!) car­ols togeth­er, tell the Christ­mas story in the form of a play, hear our sing­ers intro­duce vari­ous aspects of the play, and you abso­lutely won’t want to miss a very spe­cial sur­prise music­al offer­ing to con­clude the service.

After­wards, enjoy a free BBQ, drinks and ice cream cour­tesy of the Reddys.

Please note: Car­park will be closed to parking.

 


Work­ing Bee Volun­teers – Fri­day morn­ing 24th Dec

A New sick list will com­mence on 2nd Jan 2022: All exist­ing names will be removed.  Please sub­mit names for the new list to the office by email or phone by Monday 20th Decem­ber.  Pas­tor­al Care Committee

 

Lunch on Sundays: It was the cus­tom long before I arrived in the par­ish for a num­ber of mem­bers to adjourn to the War­ren View for lunch after morn­ing tea.  Michelle and I always like to join this group to spend some time with the parish­ion­ers who come. This is, of course, open to ALL.  Fr. Jeff

 

Advent Reflec­tions: Last reflec­tion to be held on Wed­nes­day 22nd Decem­ber, after 10.30 a.m. Euchar­ist and Morn­ing Tea dur­ing Advent, and in the even­ing at 7.30 p.m. in the rectory.

 

Wed­nes­day 29th Decem­ber – 10.30am ser­vice has been cancelled.

 

Sunday 2nd Janu­ary 2022 — The 6pm ser­vice has been can­celled for Janu­ary only.

 

Par­ish Office and the Opshop will be closed from 23rd Dec 2021 to 3rd Jan 2022.  They will reopen on Tues­day 4th Janu­ary 2022.

 

Fr Jeff will be on hol­i­days from 3rd Janu­ary to 17th Janu­ary 2020.  Dur­ing this peri­od Fr John Hawkins will be tak­ing our Sunday Ser­vices and Fr Philip Brad­ford, our Wed­nes­day services.

 

Christ­mas cards sale: 2021 Stock — $8 or $10 per pack; and 2020 Stock — Reduced to $8 per pack.  Sup­port the Lep­rosy Mis­sion.  Avail­able from the Par­ish Resource Centre.  Please see Stephan Gates dur­ing Morn­ing tea.

ST PAUL’S PANTRY des­per­ately needs food, health and clean­ing items:

A bas­ket is in the church foy­er for donations.

Please keep your dona­tions to rel­at­ively small items like pack­ets of noodles, microwaved rice, small tins of baked beans etc these are the most needed.

We ask these things through the power­ful name of Jesus.  Amen.
