NOTICES:
Update – The parish is now implementing the guidelines supplied by the Diocese in co-operation with State Health authorities. A copy of our Covid-19 plan will be available on Sunday.
Collection Giving — During the lock-down, collection-plate giving was replaced by giving through internet banking (see chart below), such that total giving did not fall. I would like to thank parishioners for so quickly adapting their way of giving, and to ask that you continue to give through internet banking. It is more safe (in many respects) for parish administration not to have to handle large amounts of cash each week. Nevertheless we will continue to have a collection plate available at the end of the service for those who prefer it or who want to give a little more. Note that if you include “ABM” in your internet banking message it will be set aside for the ABM. You can also give by credit card (see St Luke’s website) if you prefer. Stuart Veitch, Treasurer
Wednesday Healing Service — has resumed and is observing Covid-19 restrictions re seating and receiving communion. A biblical discussion takes place following morning tea in the hall – all are invited.
Men’s Night Out — Saturday 18th July @ 6 for 6.30pm: Corinthian Rotisserie Restaurant (GREEK),283 Marrickville Road, Marrickville. Ph: 9569 7084. Please see Kevin Green for more details.
Confirmation – Booked in for Sunday 23rd August. Bp Michael Stead will be here for confirmation. Please keep our four confirmees Alex, Lucy, Nicholas & Nam in your prayers.
Food for our little friends — Don’t forget to keep your cooked food scraps, fruit peelings, tea leaves and coffee grounds for the parish worm farms. (No citrus, dairy or meat). You can still drop this off outside the office — during office hours. If you would like some worm castings for your garden you can leave a bucket or bag at the rectory with your details. Our little fertilizer factories have been doing a wonderful job and the fruit of their labours is now available.
Any notices for the service booklet will need to be submitted to the Parish Office email by Wednesday evening at the latest. This is so we can post out the weekly service booklet earlier.
