Sometimes, news can be too good to be true and we react with fear, disbelief and shock. The news of the resurrection of Christ brought these feelings to his apostles, but we know that in time those rumours of his resurrection would concretise into flesh and blood experience of this new Adam appearing in the garden and bringing good news of peace with him. From this resurrection, these meetings, and those experiences we have been given the light of the gospel as well passed down through the ages, and we are called to bring it to others.
- Pray that in the light of the resurrection, we and all Christians might be strengthened to bring Jesus to those who don’t know him.
- Give thanks for the great gift of Resurrection in our lives.

The Sentence Christ our Passover has been sacrificed for us; therefore let us keep the feast. The Lord is risen indeed, alleluia! 1 Corinthians 5.7–8
The Collect:
God of glory,
fill your Church with the power
that flows from Christ’s resurrection,
that, in the midst of this sinful world,
it may signal the beginning of a renewed humanity,
raised to new life with Christ;
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Prayer for our Parish
God of Love,
God of Mission,
you alone bring growth to your Church,
send to us your Holy Spirit to give
vision for our planning,
wisdom in our actions,
and power to our witness.
Help our church to grow in numbers,
in spiritual commitment to you,
and in service to our local community. Amen
