Thursday 23rd November at 11 am – Pauline Newell’s funeral will be held here at St Luke’s.
Parishioners are invited by Pauline’s family to attend the funeral and stay for the gathering in the hall afterwards. If you plan to attend, please bring a plate of sweet food (cakes, fruit etc). Pauline’s family have arranged savoury food to be provided on the day by a caterer and St Luke’s will be providing the tea and coffee.
NOTE: THE OPSHOP WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE DAY SO THAT VOLUNTEERS CAN ATTEND THE FUNERAL.

Christmas Cards for 2023: We encourage parishioners to visit The Leprosy Mission, ABM, or The Bush Church Aid Society websites to order their own cards this year. We have a small number of packs of Christmas cards from 2022 for sale in the Community Resource Centre. Please see Stephen Gates after church.
Are you going away for Christmas? Fr Jeff is looking to have a Christmas service on Wednesday 20th December strictly for those who are heading off on holiday for Christmas. Is this you? Please speak to Fr Jeff if you would come to this service.
Nursing Home Gifts: As is our usual custom, we take a small gift to each patient at the Stanmore Nursing Home in Cambridge St at Christmas time. Your donation no matter how small helps the parish to pay for a selection of equal value gifts — usually chocolates, or something suitable for those patients who are diabetic. If you would like to donate please place your donation on the offertory plate in an envelope marked “Nursing Home”, or donate online with reference “Nursing Home”. Many thanks for your generosity!

23–25 February 2024 — Parish Retreat: Booked at the Old Monastery Stroud (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon). We will start taking names for reservations in early December 2023. The bedrooms are nearly all single rooms with shared bathrooms, and we will be self-catering.
Food for our worms – Leave your worm food gifts at church on Sundays or drop off during the week. Please remember to remove the strings from your teabags. (N.B. — no dairy, citrus, onions or meat).
