The virtual parish get-together continues at 10.30am this coming Sunday 5 September. We will break into rooms of 4–5 people in Zoom, and change rooms every 10 mins or so, thereby mirroring the experience of chatting in small groups like we do at morning tea. The link will be advised by email. All are welcome to join! DID YOU KNOW that you only need a mobile phone to join in? If you are unsure of how to join with your phone, text or call Stuart on 0400 312 354, who can help you with the set-up.
Finally! After more than two years of frustration, Fr Jeff will formally be appointed local police chaplain on 16 September in a small local ceremony. The two stations which will benefit from Fr Jeff’s ministry are Marrickville and Newtown stations.

Please protect with your loving care those we love — our families, friends and neighbours. Let your fatherly hand guide, shelter and strengthen them. Cast out all anxious fears and doubts. Give us an increasing trust in you and fill our hearts and minds with your peace. We pray for those around the world now struggling with COVID-19. Heal and comfort those who are sick and suffering. Protect and guide the health professionals who are at the front line. Please give wisdom and courage to those who bear responsibility for confronting this challenge. We ask these things through the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
We pray together our Parish prayer:
God of love, God of mission, you alone bring life to your Church.
Send to this parish of St Luke’s your Holy Spirit to give vision for our planning, wisdom in our actions,
and power to our witness.
Help our church to grow in spiritual commitment to you, in love for one another, and in service to our local community.
And may all who worship with us know Christ’s compassion and love. Amen.
